About tarot
There are many different variations of tarot cards , but the most popular and classic set was designed by Rider Waite and published back in 1909.
The Tarot set has 78 cards divided into the major and minor arcana. The major arcana contains 22 cards with beautiful symbolism on each card. The minor arcana is divided into the groups of wands, cups, coins/pentagrams and swords.
The uniqueness of the Rider-Waite deck and one of the main reasons for its enormous popularity is that all the cards, including the minor arcana, show scenes with figures and symbols. Before the Rider-Waite deck, the minor arcana in almost all tarot decks only showed the number of ''suit'' signs (e.g. 10 of Swords corresponding to the 10 of Spades in playing cards). The illustrated scenes in the Rider-Waite deck make it possible to interpret and understand the cards without necessarily having to consult a book. The Rider-Waite deck has since become the model around which most newer tarot decks are built.
How to use tarot cards
You ask yourself a question and you find the answer in the cards. Pull a Tarot card or do a classic 3-card reading and you will receive an answer, guidance or direction for your future, present or past.

These cards were drawn in 1909 by Pamela Colman Smith under the guidance of Arthur Edward Waite.
