Aloeswood, a member of the conifer family, produces an aromatic resin when infected by a specific bacteria. In Japan, such 'infected' wood is referred to as Jinkoh, which translates to 'wood that sinks into the water', referring to its resin-heavy nature. This resinous incense is used in traditional Japanese ceremonies where it reveals a rich and complex scent palette when burned. The package includes 40 incense sticks in a beautifully designed box.
