My walk on the Camino

Min vandretur på Caminoen

"A lost visa card, food poisoning and severe pain were trials that awaited Zoey Adrianna as she walked the legendary El Camino pilgrimage route. But along the way she also encountered the beauty of life, which revealed itself in the form of helpful strangers and the joy of the present."

This is how Alt for Damerne begins their article about my walk on the Camino. I remember my trip with great pleasure, even though it was certainly also a great trial.

But for me, the Camino is one of the best things I've ever done for myself... and I know many are thinking about doing it. But like me, it took many years before I finally 'pulled myself together' and finally did it.

Often we make it into a much bigger problem and project that it really is. The most important thing is simply to book the plane ticket, buy some equipment or find something in the cupboard, start training a bit by going for some long walks... and then it's just off you go. My absolute only regret was that I didn't do it sooner!
