Morning Star Incense

The Japanese incense has "no stick in the middle". You can therefore easily shorten the burning time by breaking the incense into a suitable length before lighting it. To light the incense, hold one end over a lighter flame and after a second or two blow out the flame, leaving only the fine glow. You can then place the incense stick in the small holder that comes with most boxes. You place the holder on a small plate, which catches the ash.

The best way to experience the smoke is to enjoy the fine billowing smoke from a distance. Slowly you will notice that the fine fragrance spreads in the room and can be enjoyed long after the stick has burned out.
